Everything Is Fodder
Fodder is the term for any material that can be used in the creation of a mixed media art project. It can be found in a variety of forms: paper, fabric, metal and more. Collage fodder can be collected (think old vintage book pages, ticket stubs, etc) or handmade (think gelli prints and handmade patterned papers). The goal of making collage fodder is to have an endless supply of unique materials from which to create your next big mixed media art project.
Everything Is Fodder is an open source roguelike created as a seven day game design challenge entry. It was written in 168 hours and is available for Windows.
The program is lightweight, requiring minimal RAM and disk space to operate. It primarily focuses on locating files and folders instantly by filename but also provides a content search function as well.
Politicians, for example, make great fodder for late-night television comedians when their personal lives become the subject of blow-by-blow media coverage. Privacy invasions, erratic behavior changes by apps and the like are often fodder for conspiracy theories.
Likewise, hydroponic fodder systems may be a good solution for organic producers, livestock farmers on limited acreage and anyone looking to break internal parasite cycles when best pasture management practices aren't possible. However, it is crucial that producers considering incorporating fodder into their operations understand the labor, difficulties and actual cost of production before jumping in feet first. The Conway Family Farm in Camas, Washington grows and feeds hydroponic fodder to their goats, sheep and chickens for this very reason.
